Celebrity Poker Player: Heather Graham

Poker is hot and poker players are now huge celebrities. And even Hollywood could not resist the influence as more and more stars are going to the poker tables.

The beautiful actress Heather Graham has fallen in love with the card game poker, because she spent a lot of time in Las Vegas where she recorded the film “Hangover”.
The star of the film “Boogie Nights” has thus become another one in a series of famous people to fall to the charms of poker.

The actress has admitted that this initially innocent game has awoken the dark side of her.

“Poker is pretty vicious and dark. It brings out an ugly side of me that's pretty competitive” said Heather, who participated in a poker competition and finished fourth.

The star of the film “American Pie” Shannon Elizabeth, the actors Ben Affleck, Jason Alexander, who is better known as George Costanza from “Seinfeld”, Tobey Maguire and Edward Norton are only some of the Hollywood celebrities that enjoy playing poker.

Hollywood actress Heather Graham has admitted she dreams of playing poker against Brad Pitt, and other Hollywood A-listers, but fears she would finish up losing thousands of dollars in the process.

“I hardly ever lose money. I don’t play for huge stakes - I’m too cautious for that. But I’ve often won hundreds of dollars. I always play sober. My weakness is a tendency to get too competitive, which means I lose my edge.

“I’m waiting to be invited to the tournaments that Brad Pitt organises. But I’d need to be careful. Those guys play for huge stakes. I’d be afraid of running a losing streak and ending up writing out huge IOUs.”

Heather Graham recently joined the ranks of other high-profile celebrities that have taken up the game, including Jennifer Tilly, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Brad Pitt himself.

About Heather Graham: Graham became interested in acting at a young age. She had her first role, as Dorothy, in a school production of The Wizard of Oz and remained active in the theater throughout high school, winning the title of Most Talented from her peers.
